Privacy policy
Last updated: 21 August 2026
FlatPackAssembler.co.uk (“we”, “us”) is a UK lead-generation service for flat pack furniture assembly. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and who we share it with. Contact for anything privacy-related: hello@flatpackassembler.co.uk.
What we collect and why
Quote enquiries
When you submit the quote form we collect your name, email address, phone number, postcode, a description of the job, your preferred timing, and any photos you attach. We use this to pass your enquiry to local assembly firms so they can quote for your job — that is the entire purpose of the form, and we ask for your explicit consent to this sharing before you submit. Our lawful bases are your consent and our legitimate interest in operating the matching service.
Analytics
With your consent (via the cookie banner) we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — pages visited, approximate location, device type. IP anonymisation is enabled and we don't use advertising cookies. If you decline, no analytics run. See the cookie policy.
If you email us we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your query.
Who we share enquiries with
Your enquiry is shared with up to three assembly businesses that cover your postcode, so they can contact you about your job. They receive your job details, contact details, postcode and photos. They must use this only to respond to your enquiry — not to add you to marketing lists. We do not sell your data to anyone else, and we never share it for unrelated marketing.
How long we keep data
Enquiry records are kept for up to 12 months so we can handle follow-ups, quality issues and billing with our partner assemblers, then deleted. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner at any time.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, or withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@flatpackassembler.co.uk with the subject “Privacy request”. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Where data is processed
The website is hosted in Europe. Enquiry emails are processed through our hosting provider's mail service. Google Analytics data may be processed outside the UK under Google's standard contractual clauses.
Changes
If we change this policy materially we'll update the date above. The current version always lives at this address.
