How FlatPackAssembler works
We're a matching service, not an assembly company. Our job is to take the legwork out of finding someone good: you describe the job once, and assemblers who genuinely cover your area come to you with quotes.
1. You tell us about the job
The quote form asks for the things assemblers actually need to price a job: what the items are (brand and product names if you know them), how many there are, your postcode, when you'd like it done, and — ideally — photos of the boxes. That's it. No account, no payment details.
2. We match your enquiry to local assemblers
We work with a small number of assembly firms and experienced independents in each area we cover. When your enquiry arrives we check it's genuine and complete, then pass it to up to three assemblers who cover your postcode and handle your type of job.
We deliberately limit how many people receive each enquiry. You should get a few competitive quotes, not a phone that rings all day.
3. Assemblers quote you directly
The assemblers contact you by phone or email, usually within one working day, with a price or any follow-up questions. From that point you deal with them directly: their quote, their terms, their guarantee.
4. You choose — or don't
Compare the quotes, ask questions (our question checklist helps), and book whoever you're most comfortable with. There's no obligation to book anyone, and walking away costs nothing.
How we make money
Assemblers pay us a small fee for each enquiry we send them, or a share of jobs they win. That's the whole model — it keeps the service free for you, and it never changes the price you pay: you'd pay the assembler the same if you'd found them yourself.
What we don't do
- We don't carry out assembly work ourselves.
- We don't take payment from you, ever. If anyone claiming to be us asks you for money, it's a scam — tell us.
- We don't guarantee the assemblers' work. We choose partners carefully and drop firms that generate complaints, but your contract is with the assembler you book.
- We don't sell your details to marketing lists. Your enquiry goes to the assemblers quoting your job, and that's it — see our privacy policy.
