What Leeds jobs tend to look like

Leeds has one of the biggest student populations in the country, and it shows in the work: landlords and letting agents furnishing HMOs in Headingley and Hyde Park before September, often six bed frames, six desks and six wardrobes in one go. If you're a landlord with a multi-property job, say so in the enquiry — several of our partners offer day rates and can turn a whole house around before tenants arrive.

The city's Victorian terraces and back-to-backs bring a different challenge: steep, narrow staircases that a boxed wardrobe simply won't go up. Experienced assemblers deal with this constantly — carrying panels up individually and building in the room — but it adds time, so mention stairs and access in your enquiry. New-build estates around Thorpe Park and the East Leeds Extension are the opposite: easy access, but often a full house of furniture arriving on one van.

The IKEA at Birstall (junction 27 of the M62) serves most of West Yorkshire, and assemblers here are used to “delivered yesterday, build tomorrow” scheduling around it. If your furniture is coming from there, a day's buffer between delivery and assembly keeps things relaxed.
