IKEA’s own assembly service. IKEA offers assembly through its delivery partners and TaskRabbit in much of the UK. It’s convenient — booked in the same checkout — but pricing is formula-based, and for larger jobs it’s worth comparing against an independent quote. Keeping the cost down
- Batch everything into one visit. Travel and setup are the fixed costs; the fifth BILLY is much cheaper to build than the first.
- Have the delivery checked and complete. Missing-part discoveries mid-build waste paid time. Count the boxes against the delivery note before assembly day.
